I am a passionate clinician with over 15 years of experience providing psychotherapy services. I specialize in working with complex trauma and relationship concerns, including individual and relationship therapy.
I completed a Master Series in Couples Therapy through Therapy Training Boston, I am Level II Gottman Couples Therapy trained, and I focused on couples work and intimate partner violence during my Post-Doctoral Residency. I have completed several years of interpersonal analytic training through the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis, as well as trained at the Austin VA and Bedford VA hospitals, all experiences which have nurtured my ability to meet clients more fully who are dealing with complex concerns. I have also worked in a number of community based settings (including community mental health, inpatient, and day treatment settings) before starting my private practice. I bring a mindfulness-based, trauma informed, and here-and-now focus to clinical work.
I have a deep respect for my clients and their perspectives. While I have a background in psychotherapy, my clients are the experts in their own lives, as well as the experts on why their current patterns have been developed and how those patterns have been useful over time. I approach my clinical work with humility, and I do not take lightly the privilege of being invited into my clients’ internal worlds.
In addition to my clinical work, I have years of experiences supporting organizations in their efforts to build more effective, sustainable, and interpersonally cohesive practices and cultures. I have done this work as an outside consultant, as an in-house staff member, and as a member of multiple organizational Boards. My approach to organizational change work is to target relational and procedural gaps and misses, identify opportunities for insight and skill building, and foster actionable changes that are mission- and values-aligned. I bring my expertise in human behavior, relational processes, and emotion regulation to bear as I engage with organizational leadership and team members to strengthen their confidence, effectiveness, engagement, and cohesion.
I have taught Psychology at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and have served as a member of multiple professional associations, committees, and Boards.
I am an out-of-network provider with most insurance plans.
